Our lines of business

GtE was founded with an initial focus on the technical insurance sector. Today, we provide services for a broad scope of sectors, with each individual case being handled by one of our specialists in the respective area of expertise. Within the sectors of property and technical insurance, our core business comprises the categories of buildings and construction work, erection, electronics, machinery and marine / cargo. Support and supervision of consequentially arising business interruption and loss to stock are integral parts of our assignments. In the field of liability, we focus on public liability, basic and extended product liability and associated product recalls.

Our scope of services

The services nowadays required in loss incidents are more diverse than ever and are often rendered by a variety of parties in an uncoordinated manner. We offer you a broad spectrum which, based on single-source coordination, encompasses all crucial steps from initial damage survey to technical analysis.

  • Classic expert consultancy

    In our capacity as impartial consultants, we document the nature and extent of damage. We determine the cause of loss in an actuarially relevant manner. Costs incurred by the loss are evaluated and are, along with all gleaned information, formally communicated within the scope of a written report. Our reports are structured in a goal-oriented fashion and serve as solid foundations for our clients' decision-making processes. Investigations and assessments performed on our part are conducted in a transparent and unbiased manner. Evaluations within an insurance context and analyses of contractual issues are not part of this service.

  • Loss adjusting

    Beyond the classic expert consultancy, we investigate and consider all contractual and insurance-relevant framework conditions. We manage the loss from inception to receipt of the very last invoice and coordinate associated processes. Whilst any recommendations we give on the losses are hence "washed and ironed", they are always given subject to verification by our respective principals.

  • Third-party administrator

    In our capacity as authorised process partners, we manage claims on behalf of our principals and report back to them in a comprehensive manner. To that end, we coordinate and liaise with all participants, monitor the adherence to process agreements and safeguard the interests of our principals.

  • Laboratory & analysis

    For further technical analysis of a loss, its cause and its reinstatability, we involve our own laboratories or assign institutions within our network, whose work and methodology we monitor. All investigation results are put at the principal's full discretionary disposal.

  • Claims recovery preparation

    Within the scope of loss processing, we indicate sustainable recovery potentials at an early stage and secure respective evidence. On request, we calculate the corresponding fair values and cooperate with our partner law firm for conclusive pursuit of promising recovery action.

  • Planning & valuation

    We provide our clients with competently researched insurance valuations. We verify changes in value in a subject-specific, technically informed manner and assist, on request, with the planning of buildings and technical installations in a consultative capacity.
